Eliminating Kaizer Chiefs has brought an unexpected reward for Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe. After guiding the Zambian club into the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, the manager has received a Toyota Mark X from the country's Air Force leadership.

Details: According to FARPost, Mbewe was rewarded with an official staff vehicle following Red Arrows' dramatic victory over Kaizer Chiefs. Zambia Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Oscar Msitu Nyoni handed the coach a Toyota Mark X on October 26. The vehicle, registered ZAF-4623B, is intended to help Mbewe attend training sessions and perform his official duties. It is an allocation for professional use rather than a confirmed personal gift.

The reward follows a historic night in Durban on October 23. Red Arrows had won the first leg 1-0 in Zambia before losing the return encounter by the same score. With the aggregate level at 1-1, qualification was decided by penalties. The visitors prevailed 3-2, eliminating the South African giants and securing their first appearance in the competition's group stage.

Nyoni personally welcomed the team following their return from South Africa and congratulated the players on their achievement. He also challenged Red Arrows to aim even higher and reach the CAF Confederation Cup final. The commander explained that providing the coach with transport fulfilled an earlier commitment made following a request from club president Colonel Moses Kambimbi.

It's worth noting that Red Arrows are affiliated with the Zambia Air Force, and Mbewe also holds the military rank of Warrant Officer Class Two. The vehicle remains an official resource intended to support his work. The club's qualification represents a historic milestone, while Kaizer Chiefs must now recover from another painful continental disappointment.
