A blow for Nayef Aguerd at Marseille

The Moroccan international will not play again for the French club this season.

This is bad news for Marseille. With the season entering its decisive phase, the club will no longer be able to count on its Moroccan defender. Marseille had been hoping for Nayef Aguerd’s return to action following the surgery he underwent last March.

However, the Moroccan defender’s condition has reportedly not improved. Aguerd is said to be suffering from a fractured pubic bone. Consequently, he will not be able to return to action until the end of the 2025–2026 season. His season at Marseille is therefore over.
