A blow for Lahore Qalandars: Emon ruled out for the rest of the PSL season
The Lahore Qalandars have lost one of their key players for the remainder of the PSL 2026 season. Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Parvez Hossain Emon has been sidelined from the tournament due to a shoulder injury.
The official club statement came after the match against Peshawar Zalmi. It noted that an MRI confirmed the severity of the injury, and Emon has been advised to undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation over the coming weeks. As a result, management has decided to exclude him from the squad for the rest of the season, with a replacement to be announced at a later date.
This season marked the 21-year-old Emon’s debut in the Pakistan Super League, and he made a strong impression. In three matches, he scored 71 runs at an impressive strike rate above 161.
