A big step! Official: Jermain Defoe named head coach of Woking FC

This marks Defoe’s first experience as a head coach.
Details: The official website of English club Woking has announced that former striker of Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth, Tottenham, Sunderland, Toronto, and Rangers, Jermain Defoe, has officially taken charge as the team’s new head coach.
The terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed, but this is Defoe’s first time leading a team after previously serving as assistant coach at Rangers and Tottenham.
"Woking is a historic club with tremendous potential, and I'm thrilled to be part of this exciting project. I can't wait to get started," Defoe commented on his appointment.
It’s also been confirmed that Paul Bracewell, who previously worked at Fulham, Sunderland, and Halifax Town, has joined Defoe’s coaching staff.
Woking FC currently competes in the National League and sits 11th after 39 rounds.
