Today, Vonn shared on her Instagram page that she was finally discharged from the hospital after more than two weeks of bed rest, and in the comments to her post, Ronaldo left a heartfelt message for the Olympic champion:
“Champions are defined by the moments they win, and the moments they refuse to give up. @lindseyvonn, the mountains you’ve conquered have never been greater than the strength you carry within. Keep fighting. Legends always rise.” Ronaldo wrote.
In response, Vonn thanked Cristiano for his support, saying his words meant a lot to her.
On February 8, Vonn suffered a severe crash during the Olympic downhill. She was airlifted from the course to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a complex tibia fracture. After the incident, the athlete’s father stated that he would no longer allow his daughter to compete professionally.
