A beautiful gesture. Arda Turan gifts flowers to pregnant journalist during interview

Eyüpspor head coach Arda Turan made an unexpected and touching gesture towards one of the journalists covering Turkish league matches. After the game against Kasımpaşa, Turan arrived for the interview holding a bouquet of flowers, which he presented to the female journalist.

As it turned out, before the interview Arda learned that the journalist, Nur Bilge, was pregnant, and decided to congratulate her on this joyful occasion with such a grand gesture. The gift was also timed to coincide with Mother’s Day, which was celebrated in Turkey the day after the match between Eyüpspor and Kasımpaşa.

It’s worth noting that Arda Turan is a renowned former footballer, famous for his stints with Atlético Madrid and Barcelona. With these teams, he won La Liga and the UEFA Super Cup twice. He also claimed the Europa League title with Atlético in 2012. Turan ended his playing career in September 2022.

Turan began his coaching career in April 2023 with Eyüpspor. In his very first season, he won the Turkish First League, guiding the club to promotion to the top flight—the Turkish Süper Lig.
