Morocco finished their AFCON 2025 qualifiers with a big win, beating Lesotho 7-0 in an exciting match at the Stade Municipal in Oujda. This win not only showed Morocco's strong position in Group B but also tied their record for the biggest win ever, which they first got against DR Congo in 1996.

Diaz Scores Three Goals
AC Milan player Brahim Diaz was the best player in the game, scoring three goals in the first half at the 5th, 15th, and 42nd minutes. Sofiane Rahimi also scored two goals (37’, 45’), while Youssef En-Nesyri (68’) and Ismael Saibari (70’) finished the big win.

An impeccable record
Morocco won all of its games against Gabon, Lesotho, and the Central African Republic, finishing as the group leaders with 18 points from six games. The Atlas Lions were the only team with a perfect campaign, but they had already qualified as tournament hosts.

Final Standings for Group B

Morocco: 18 points
Gabon: 10 points
Lesotho: 4 points
Republic of Central Africa: 3 points

Morocco will now concentrate on getting ready for AFCON 2025 at home, when the tournament favorites are expected to perform exceptionally well.
