82 candidates vie for the position of coach of the Burkina Faso national team
A committee has been set up to review their applications
Pre-selection interviews will take place from 19 to 21 February 2026.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation is looking for a successor to Brama Traoré. He was sacked along with his staff following the Etalons' elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Since then, the Burkina Faso national team has not yet found a new coach.
However, the process of hiring a new manager for the Etalons is underway. Following a call for applications, 82 candidates have come forward to fill the vacant position. The applications received are from different nationalities. The 82 applications have been forwarded to the Commission, which will review them in accordance with the guidelines set out in the call for applications, the FBF has announced.
