Arsenal are already looking at a blockbuster solution for the right flank.
Details: According to Fussball-News, Arsenal have placed Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on their shortlist as the London club plan for the future of the position. The Gunners are closely monitoring the England international and could explore whether an opportunity to sign him emerges during the January transfer window.
At this stage, however, there have been no concrete negotiations between Arsenal and Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are not planning to sell Alexander-Arnold and there is currently no indication that their position has changed.
The situation could become significantly more expensive if Madrid eventually open the door to a departure. According to the report, Real Madrid could demand around €70–80 million for the defender. Arsenal have not made an official approach and are continuing to monitor developments before deciding whether a winter move is realistic.
Alexander-Arnold remains part of Real Madrid's first-team squad and is primarily used at right-back, although he is also capable of operating in midfield. His long-term contract means the Madrid club are under no immediate pressure to consider offers, strengthening their position if negotiations ever begin.
It is worth noting that Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid from Liverpool in 2025 and signed a contract running until June 30, 2031. Real Madrid's official player profile currently lists five appearances and one assist for the Englishman in the 2026/27 season.
