€60 million for a replacement! Chelsea identify Enzo Fernandez's successor in Ligue 1

Chelsea are entering the decisive phase of their midfield rebuild with the transfer window deadline fast approaching.

Details: According to respected insider Sacha Tavolieri, Monaco and Chelsea are in active negotiations over the transfer of 22-year-old Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara. The London club view the player as a direct replacement for Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

On Monaco's side, the negotiations are being led by chief executive Thiago Scuro. The club's hierarchy are hoping to complete a deal worth around €60 million within the next 48 hours.

It is worth noting that Lamine Camara has played for Monaco since July 2024, when he joined from Metz in a €15 million transfer, and his contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029. During the 2025/26 season, the Senegalese midfielder made 24 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco, scoring three goals and providing four assists. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €40 million.
