Jon Martín has suddenly found himself at the centre of a major European transfer race.
Details: According to Fussball-News, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are closely monitoring the development of the 20-year-old Real Sociedad centre-back, while Real Madrid have also placed the Spaniard on their radar.
The interested clubs are still in the scouting and evaluation stage, with no concrete negotiations currently taking place with Real Sociedad. However, initial discussions with Martín's representatives could be held ahead of the winter transfer window as the four clubs assess a possible January move.
Real Sociedad are in a very strong negotiating position. The Basque club have no plans to sell the defender cheaply and, according to the report, would only consider opening negotiations for an offer of around €50 million. The Spanish side could also demand performance-related bonuses and a percentage of any future resale.
Martín's long-term contract provides further protection for Real Sociedad. The centre-back extended his agreement in July 2026 and is tied to the San Sebastián club until the end of the 2031/32 season. It is worth noting that Real Sociedad themselves described the 20-year-old as both the present and the future of the club, highlighting that he has already established himself as a regular starter and an important figure in their defence.
