Liverpool have acted swiftly in response to transfer market setbacks, setting their sights on one of Crystal Palace’s key players.

Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have initiated official negotiations to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaïla Sarr. The Reds have already submitted a bid to the London club worth around £50 million. The 28-year-old Senegalese international has reportedly expressed full readiness to make the switch to Anfield.

This decisive move from the Liverpool board comes in the wake of stalled talks over Yankuba Minteh, with Brighton demanding £80 million for their player. Meanwhile, a fierce battle for Sarr is underway: Crystal Palace have already rejected two transfer offers for the Senegalese winger from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, the Senegalese winger made 28 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace, netting 9 goals and providing 1 assist, while also helping the Londoners claim the UEFA Conference League title. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €45 million.
