In the early hours of Thursday, February 13, the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament kicked off—the first top-level competition featuring National Hockey League players in eight and a half years.
The tournament will take place instead of the All-Star Game, with Canada, the United States, Finland, and Sweden participating. The event is running from February 12 to 20, 2025, at Bell Centre in Montreal and TD Garden in Boston.
A total of seven matches will be played during this period. The four teams will compete in a single round-robin group stage, with each national team playing three games. The top two teams from the group stage will advance to the final.
