4 emergency reinforcements in Brazil to face Argentina
Brazil is gearing up for a decisive classic against the Argentina national team with several significant absences. In recent hours, coach Dorival Júnior had to urgently call up four new players to face the commitment on Tuesday, March 25 in Buenos Aires for the South American Qualifiers.
The call-ups are due to the absences of Gabriel Magalhães and Bruno Guimarães, because of an accumulation of yellow cards, in addition to the injuries of Gerson and Alisson Becker. In their place, midfielders João Gomes (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Éderson (Atalanta), defender Beraldo (Paris Saint-Germain), and goalkeeper Weverton (Palmeiras) were summoned, according to Bolavip.
Gerson presented a muscular discomfort and returned to Flamengo as a precaution. Meanwhile, Alisson was ruled out due to concussion protocol following a heavy collision with Dávinson Sánchez, although he is in good condition.
Brazil arrives at the clash against the Albiceleste amid a forced transition, with Dorival trying to maintain competitiveness against the table leader.
