£35 million wasn't enough! Crystal Palace see bid rejected for Monaco star

Crystal Palace will need to significantly up their offer if the London club want to land Lamine Camara.

Details: According to BBC journalist Sami Mokbel, Crystal Palace made a verbal offer of over £35 million for Monaco’s Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara, but the French club turned it down.

Monaco have no intention of letting one of their key midfielders go for that price. According to the source, the club are seeking €50 million, which is roughly £43 million.

So far, Crystal Palace have failed to convince the Monegasques with their offer, and the financial positions of both sides remain far apart.

It’s worth noting that Crystal Palace’s interest in Camara isn’t new. Back on August 8, Dailysports reported that the London club had already made an approach for the 22-year-old Senegalese midfielder.

For the 2025/26 season, Lamine Camara logged 1,851 minutes in Ligue 1, netted 3 goals, and provided 4 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the market value of the 22-year-old Senegalese midfielder is €40 million.
