Minnesota's basketball stalwart, Mike Conley, has extended his tenure with the team for two additional years, as disclosed by Adrian Wojnarowski.

The adept playmaker will now command a salary of $21 million annually. Conley's current season stats boast an average of 10.6 points, 6.4 assists, and 2.9 steals per game. Presently, Minnesota leads the Western Conference of the NBA with a formidable record of 39-16. Conley joined Minnesota from Utah in 2023.

Conley, an American professional basketball luminary, plies his trade for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association. He excels in the role of a point guard. He honed his skills at Ohio State University and showcased his talents for the local basketball team, alongside future NBA luminaries Greg Oden and Daequan Cook. He was selected as the 4th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Having spent 12 seasons with Memphis, he was traded to the Utah Jazz in the summer of 2019 (in exchange for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in the 2019 draft, and a first-round pick in the 2020 draft). On February 9, 2023, Conley was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a three-team trade involving the Los Angeles Lakers.
