2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup play-offs: the official line-ups for Ivory Coast and Ghana revealed
The Elephants and the Black Queens are set to face off in a few moments’ time in Casablanca.
Having been knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations currently taking place in Morocco, the women’s teams from Ivory Coast and Ghana are now in the running for a place at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will take place in Brazil in the summer of 2027. The first round of the African play-offs takes place this Thursday, 13 August.
Ivory Coast will take on Ghana at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. The two teams will battle it out for a place in the race to qualify for the World Cup.
Ahead of the kick-off of this decisive match at 5 pm GMT, the head coach of the Elephants, Reynald Pedros, and that of the Black Queens, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, have revealed their respective starting XI.
