The Confederation of African Football has entrusted the experienced referee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the role of centre referee.

This match is set for 25 September as part of the first round of Group K in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The match will be played in Bamako at the Stade du 26 Mars.

With less than a month to go before the match, the governing body of African football has appointed Jean-Jacques Ndala Ngambo to officiate. The Congolese referee will be accompanied by three of his compatriots. Guylain Bongele will serve as first assistant referee, whilst Mwanya Gradel will be the second assistant referee. Numbi will complete the refereeing team as the fourth official.

No stranger to major competitions, Jean-Jacques Ndala Ngambo has extensive experience on the African and international stage. The Congolese referee’s name remains closely associated with the last Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco. He officiated the highly controversial final between Senegal and Morocco.
