The Ivorian U20s got their campaign off to the perfect start in the tournament against Benin in opening match.
Ivory Coast’s U20 national team have got off to a flying start in the WAFU B tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The young Ivorians faced Benin on 26 July in Group A of the tournament, which kicked off at the Charles-Konan-Banny Stadium in Yamousoukro.
Against Benin’s U20 side, Ivory Coast pulled out all the stops. The Ivorian side ran out 5–0 winners. Saehet Roma, Prince Zagadou and Namory Keita each scored a goal, whilst Elove Koutouan netted a brace.
