The Flying Eagles dominated the Black Satellites in the Group B opener in Yamoussoukro.

The race for qualification for the 2027 U20 Africa Cup of Nations got underway on Sunday 26 July in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast. The WAFU B U20 tournament is now in full swing.

Following the first Group A match on Sunday, Group B kicked off on Monday 27 July with a match between Ghana and Nigeria. But the Flying Eagles dictated the pace of the game.

Nigeria’s U20 national team secured a 4-2 victory over the Black Satellites. Olayemi Ayinla (6th minute) and Oraro Lucky (30th minute) each scored a goal, whilst Muiz Adeleke netted a brace (40th and 89th minutes).

Nigeria have made a strong start to the WAFU B tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
