2027 AFCON Qualifiers: Senegal Announces Squad for Mozambique, Ethiopia and Comoros Match

New Senegal head coach Patrick Vieira has officially unveiled a 29-man squad ahead of their 2027 African Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers.

The Lions of Teranga will be participating in Group J for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification. They will begin their qualifier match on September 25, 2026, against Mozambique. On September 29, 2026, they will then face Ethiopia.

Former Senegal's number one goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has been excluded from the list released by Patrick Vieira after he announced his retirement from international football on September 13, 2026, at the age of 34
