2027 AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles Set for First Training Session Ahead of Madagascar Clash

The Super Eagles will begin preparations for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign with their first training session in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom, on Tuesday.

The session comes ahead of Nigeria’s opening qualifier against Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday, September 25.

Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed the schedule on Monday night, adding that the first 15 minutes of Tuesday’s training will be open to members of the media.

Efoghe also revealed that the entire squad will meet with journalists on Wednesday for exclusive interviews at the team’s base in Ikot Ekpene.

Nigeria will begin their qualifying campaign against Madagascar before travelling to face Guinea-Bissau in their second Group-stage fixture on Tuesday, September 29.
