2026 World Cup Qualifiers - Playoffs: DR Congo defeats Cameroon and joins Nigeria in the final

The Democratic Republic of Congo eliminated Cameroon on Thursday, November 13, in Rabat, Morocco, in the African zone playoff semi-final for the 2026 World Cup (1-0).

Thanks to a goal from Chancel Mbemba in stoppage time, DR Congo snatched victory against Cameroon and qualification for the final of the playoffs for the 2026 World Cup.

To get one step closer to their dream, the Leopards will have to overcome Nigeria.

Cameroon is therefore out of the World Cup race, frustrated and punished in the final minutes. DR Congo, however, continues its dream.

Sébastien Desabre's men will face Nigeria on Sunday at 8 p.m. in Rabat for a historic place at the 2026 World Cup.
