2026 World Cup Qualifiers – Playoffs: Cameroon suffers two major setbacks

Two major withdrawals have been recorded for the Cameroonian team on the eve of the playoffs for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will have to do without two of their key players for the semi-final of the 2026 World Cup playoff mini-tournament.

Indeed, Frank Zambo Anguissa and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are officially ruled out for the important match this Thursday, November 13, against the DRC.

These absences are a major blow for the Cameroonian team, which sees its midfield and attack weakened for this crucial match in the quest for qualification.

This is a difficult situation for the national team, which is forced to revise its tactical plans on the eve of the match. The coach will have to rely on other players to compensate for these last-minute defections.
