Ballon d’Or 2026: Three African Keepers Nominated for Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year

Africa will have three representatives in the running for the 2026 Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, with Morocco’s Yassine Bounou, Senegal’s Édouard Mendy and Cape Verde’s Vozinha all making the shortlist.

Three African goalkeepers have been included among the 10 nominees for the prestigious individual award, alongside several of the world’s top goalkeepers.
