2025 AFCON: Manchester United wants to keep Mbeumo, Amad, and Mazraoui
The English club is keen to keep two African players who will participate in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Manchester United is striving to keep Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui at the club until mid-December, despite their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Indeed, the real problem facing many European clubs is the timing of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place during the regular season. The players in question must be released two weeks before the start of the tournament, scheduled for around December 8, 2025.
Manchester United, for its part, will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on the same day and wants its players to remain available until after their match against Bournemouth on December 15.
The national teams of Mbeumo and Amad will begin their competitions on December 24, while Morocco, with Mazraoui, will start on December 21. Discussions are needed with the national federations to reach an agreement regarding the departure of these players.
