The hearing before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) concerning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Morocco concluded on Thursday 8 October in Lausanne.

The case centres on the final on 18 January 2026 in Rabat, which Senegal won 1–0 on the pitch, before Confederation of African Football awarded the title to Morocco two months later.

The Senegalese Football Federation had referred the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to challenge this decision. The hearing, which began on 8 October, allowed the three arbitrators to consider the arguments of the various parties following several hours of debate and pleadings.

Speaking after the hearing, the Secretary General of the Senegalese Football Federation, Abdoulaye Seydou Sow, commented. “Our lawyers presented our case, put forward all our observations and were heard by the arbitral panel. I can assure you that Senegal has defended itself well,” he told Dsport.

Following this hearing, the CAS’s decision is now awaited, though the date of its announcement remains unknown.
