2025 AFCON: Fake News! There will be no friendly match between Tunisia and Senegal

The coach of the Tunisian national team has denied rumors concerning a friendly match scheduled against Senegal on December 18, 2025, in Tunis. Sami Trabelsi, in a recent statement, addressed the issue.

Trabelsi revealed that no agreement had been reached with the Senegalese Football Federation for any friendly match.

"No match has been confirmed as of this date and no agreement has been finalized with the Senegalese Federation," he reminded.

According to the Tunisian coach, the team continues to work on its preparation program for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). However, it is clear that discussions are underway with several African teams to organize one or two friendly matches, although nothing has yet been confirmed.

The coach promised that details regarding the selected opponents will be communicated as soon as agreements are finalized with the Tunisian Federation.
