In the early hours of Friday, November 22, the next stage of the Formula 1 World Cup kicks off, taking place in Las Vegas.
2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix: what to know about the tournament?
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix marks the 22nd round of this season's World Championship and only the second Las Vegas Grand Prix in history. The race will be held on the Las Vegas Street Circuit, which includes the iconic Las Vegas Strip and is located in Paradise, Nevada, USA.
Notably, this Grand Prix is the third race in the United States on the 2023 calendar, following the Miami and United States Grands Prix. It is the first time since 1982 that three Formula 1 races have been held in the US in a single season.
The track, stretching 6.201 km, features 17 turns. The Grand Prix comprises 50 laps, covering a total race distance of 309.958 km. The circuit runs alongside famous casinos and includes a 1.9 km straight, which is part of the Las Vegas Strip.
2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix: where and when will it take place?
Las Vegas will host an unconventional weekend format, including a sprint race, with events spanning three days.
Friday, November 22: The first practice session begins at 3:30 CET, followed by the second session at 6:00 CET.
Saturday, November 23: The third practice session starts at 3:30 CET, and qualifying takes place at 7:00 CET.
Sunday, November 24: The main race starts at 7:00 CET.
