2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup. Calendar and results of the tournament
The tenth anniversary Futsal World Cup kicked off in Uzbekistan on 14 September.
After restrictions due to the coronavirus, the last tournament was held in 2021 in Lithuania, with Portugal as the champion. Now the competition returns on a four-year cycle.
Portugal became the fourth champion in the history of the World Championships. From 1989, when the first tournament was held, until 1996, the Brazilians were the hegemon. They have more wins in 2008 and 2012. In total - five victories and the status of the most titled team.
Also, twice (in 2000 and 2004) triumphed Spaniards, and in 2016 won Argentina.
