€200m protection! Bayern could make a huge concession to keep Michael Olise
Bayern may have to break with tradition to secure Michael Olise's long-term future.
Details: According to Christian Falk, Bayern Munich could agree to include a release clause worth around €200 million in Michael Olise's new contract as negotiations over fresh terms continue. The German champions would prefer the agreement not to contain such a mechanism, but the French winger could be open to having one inserted.
A figure of approximately €200 million would give Bayern significant protection if the club eventually accepts Olise's request. At the same time, the inclusion of any release clause would represent an unusual step for the Munich side, who generally prefer to maintain full control over the futures of their leading players.
The discussions underline Olise's increasingly important status in Munich. Bayern are interested in reaching a new agreement with the France international, but the structure of the contract may become one of the decisive points in negotiations. For now, there is no suggestion that an agreement on the clause has already been reached.
It is worth noting that Olise's current Bayern contract runs until June 2029 and does not contain a release clause. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl previously confirmed that the deal signed after the winger's 2024 move to Munich included no such option.
