19-year-old Mercedes F1 star Kimi Antonelli involved in serious car accident

The road can be a dangerous place, especially if you don't follow the rules.

Details: Today it was reported that 19-year-old Mercedes team prodigy Kimi Antonelli, competing in F1, was involved in a car accident while driving an elite Mercedes AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+—a car he received from his team just a few days ago.

According to reports, Antonelli was heading home to San Marino when he lost control of the exclusive vehicle and veered off into a ditch.

Fortunately, Antonelli escaped unscathed and will be able to participate in the upcoming Formula 1 test sessions in Bahrain. The car, however, was not so lucky—the rear end of the elite Mercedes sustained serious damage.

The Formula 1 pre-season tests in Bahrain are scheduled to take place from February 11 to 13.
