Vietnam is gearing up to shake the football world with an ambitious architectural project that promises to set a new benchmark in sports infrastructure.
Details: Construction has begun on the outskirts of Hanoi for the Trong Dong Stadium, which, upon completion, will officially become the largest football-only arena on the planet. The project is set to cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
The scale of the future venue is staggering: the stadium will have a capacity of 135,000 spectators. One of its standout features will be the world's largest retractable roof, ensuring matches can be played in comfort regardless of the region's notorious tropical downpours or searing heat.
The grand construction is expected to be fully completed by August 2028.
