12 players from Serie A under suspicion of illegal betting, including Juventus footballers

From time to time, Italian footballers find themselves embroiled in betting scandals. The latest one has erupted in the local championship.
Details: According to Corriere della Sera, 12 players from Serie A are under investigation for allegedly engaging in betting and casino activities with illegal operators. There is no evidence that the other players involved in the new investigation have ever placed bets specifically on football.
In addition to Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Fagioli, who have already served their penalties for betting, the following are under investigation: Alessandro Florenzi, Nicolo Zaniolo, Mattia Perin, Weston McKennie, Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria, Raoul Bellanova, Samuele Ricci, Cristian Buonaiuto, Matteo Cancellieri, and Adames Hector Junior Firpo.
In criminal terms, the potential penalty for the players under investigation is practically insignificant, as if found guilty, they would be required to pay a maximum of 250 euros.
Reminder: Earlier, candidates were named for the head coach position that Roma is considering.
