Mainz 05 has announced the signing of a new head coach! The Swiss specialist Urs Fischer takes the helm.
Details: After the dismissal of Bo Henriksen due to the club's disappointing results, the Mainz management has unveiled their new coach. Urs Fischer, who previously managed Union Berlin before being let go in November 2023, has signed a contract with Mainz running until the summer of 2028.

Joining Fischer on the coaching staff are assistant coach Markus Hoffmann (53) and video analyst Sebastian Podsiadly (34).
After 13 matchdays, the team sits in 18th place in the table, having collected just six points, conceded 24 goals, and scored only 11.
