The situation in Qatar has escalated rapidly: on Saturday, the Spanish embassy organized an urgent evacuation of its citizens from Doha.
Details: According to MARCA, the special flights transported not only random bystanders and tourists, but also well-known Spanish footballers playing in the local league. Among the evacuees were former Real Madrid striker Joselu, currently playing for Al-Gharafa, and ex-Bayern Munich midfielder, now Al-Bidda player Javi Martínez.

The rescue operation was carried out in record time due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in the region over the past few hours. Besides the footballers, the same flight evacuated the families of other Spanish players, including the wife and three-month-old child of Raúl de Tomás, as well as the wife of Pablo Sanz, assistant coach of the Qatar national team. Spain's ambassador to Qatar, Álvaro Renedo, personally oversaw the process to ensure the citizens' safety.
Despite the mass departure of his compatriots, Qatar's head coach Julen Lopetegui decided to remain in Doha. The Spanish coach continues to fulfill his duties, although he is now operating under strict isolation protocols.
Reminder: Massimiliano Allegri commented on rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
