Horrifying news coming out of Venezuela, where rescue operations continue in the aftermath of a devastating 7.5-magnitude earthquake.
Details: This natural disaster has turned into a deeply personal and irreparable tragedy for Argentine footballer Lucas Trejo. After 74 relentless hours of desperate searching, involving professional rescuers and hundreds of volunteers, the bodies of the athlete’s wife and children were found in La Guaira.
Help and specialized equipment finally arrived at the collapsed building, but tragically, it was already too late.
The 38-year-old Argentine defender, who plays for the local Venezuelan club "Club Sport Marítimo de La Guaira," is now living through the darkest and most difficult moment of his life.
Trejo is known for his stints with several clubs in Greece, the United States, Argentina, and Venezuela.
