The Ivorian striker has signed for the German club on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

Emmanuel Latte Lath is returning to Europe. Having played in Italy, England and Switzerland, he has now moved to Germany from the United States.

The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international has signed for Union Berlin on a season-long loan with an option to buy. Emmanuel Latte Lath will therefore play for the Bundesliga club during the 2026–2027 season.

If he manages to impress the Union Berlin management, he may not return to Atlanta United FC in the MLS. When his transfer was made official, Emmanuel Latte Lath outlined his ambitions for his new club.

“Discussions with Union Berlin have been very positive right from the start, and what’s more, I’ve already had a taste of the atmosphere at the Alte Försterei. I’m looking forward to meeting the team, contributing to its success and feeling the support of the fans.

The Bundesliga is a major challenge, one I’m really looking forward to. I want to seize this opportunity to prove myself at this level and help the team with my skills.”
