Real Madrid coaching staff select goalkeeper for Champions League final

The goalkeeper position remains a major topic for Real Madrid as the current season draws to a close. Andriy Lunin has performed excellently throughout the season, but with Thibaut Courtois' return, the question arises as to who should play in the Champions League final.

Many experts advocate for Lunin, citing his successful performances in all the knockout stage matches. On the other hand, Courtois' rich experience and excellent form upon his return are strong arguments in his favor.

According to El Chiringuito, the Real Madrid coaching staff, led by Carlo Ancelotti, has already made a decision. Lunin will play in the upcoming match against Villarreal, while Courtois will feature in the final La Liga match of the season and will also start in the Champions League final.

In the recent match against Alavés (5-0), Courtois made 10 saves, proving that he has regained his top form. This was the decisive factor for Real Madrid.

This season, Lunin has played 30 matches, conceding 28 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets. Since his return, Courtois has played 3 games without conceding a single goal.

The Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will take place on June 1 at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London.
