Among the World Cup qualifiers in the African zone, it's worth paying attention to the Nigeria vs Zimbabwe clash. I've prepared my prediction for this event.
Nigeria
The "Super Eagles" were among the favorites in their group, but the team has been disappointing so far, occupying fourth place, just two points behind the second spot. Nigeria started this campaign with three draws and then surprisingly lost to Benin on neutral ground with a score of 1-2, despite being clear favorites.
Only in the last round did they manage to defeat Rwanda away with a 2-0 victory, with Osimhen scoring a brace. The chances of advancing from the group remain, but there's no room for error. Nigeria needs a powerful finish.
Zimbabwe
In this qualification, Zimbabwe sees little hope as they sit last in their group, without a win. Their last match was technically a home game, played on neutral ground against one of the group's leaders, Benin. Despite trailing 0-2, they showed character and drew 2-2.
While the chances of advancing are only theoretical, Zimbabwe is not planning to give away points to anyone. The battle against Nigeria will be tough, even though the opponent is not playing consistently.
