The club has become the main discovery of the season. Having lost half a dozen long-term leaders led by Insigne, it achieved the result, which has not been possible with them – unconditional leadership in the Serie A. In fact, few people have doubts that the Scudetto will go to the south of the peninsular, and this is for the first time since 1990. Nowadays, more attention to the Champions League may be paid. In the autumn, Khvicha (what a level is demonstrated by the Georgian player at San Paolo!) and the company did very well in the European tournament. Despite the fact that the Calcio was stamped with victories, “the Parthenopeans” won successively the battles against Liverpool and twice against Ajax and Rangers, and only in the very last round they allowed Klopp’s wards to beat them at Anfield.

The only time, when the clubs played head-to-head matches, was in 1994, in the UEFA Cup. Then, the German representative was stronger in both battles, winning with the 1-0 score.
