However, he continued to struggle on the Grand Slam stage, where his performances have traditionally been less impressive.
This year, Rublev’s name often made headlines due to his controversial behavior rather than standout results. He secured a spot in the ATP Finals only because Djokovic withdrew due to injury. Though sometimes alternates can surprise, Rublev has lost three of his last four matches, so expectations for a breakthrough here are modest.
