Orlando Pirates won the South African Cup

Orlando Pirates won the South African Cup, marking the tenth trophy in the club's history.
In the final match held in Mbombela, the Pirates faced the strongest team in the country, Mamelodi Sundowns. The "Brazilians" should have opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but Lucas Costa missed a penalty. The forward partially redeemed himself with an assist to Zwane, but Orlando equalized with a penalty. Maswanganyi converted from the spot in the 71st minute.
The climax came in injury time. In the 90+4 minute, a precise strike from Mofokeng secured the victory for Orlando. Interestingly, the Pirates hadn't won the South African Cup since 2003.
