Kaizer Chiefs will be without their captain, Yusuf Maart, when they take on Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 at FNB Stadium on Saturday, February 15. The match kicks off at 6 PM.

Maart is suspended after accumulating four yellow cards in league matches against Marumo Gallants, Magesi FC, Polokwane City, and Stellenbosch FC. This season, he has participated in 20 games, with one goal and three assists. His absence creates a midfield void, but the Chiefs have Samkelo Zwane, Njabulo Blom, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Thabo Cele as alternatives.

Chiefs have momentum going into the game after defeating Stellenbosch 1-0 in the league. In December, they also defeated Chippa United 1-0, with Mduduzi Shabalala scoring the game-winning goal.

Chippa United will try to recover from a 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy under coach Thabo September. His players have been challenged by September to have mental toughness and take advantage of their opportunities against the Chiefs. However, they will be without defender Sirgio Kammies, who is also suspended.

The Chilli Boys will seek revenge after their previous loss to Chiefs and hope to make another deep cup run after reaching the semifinals last season.
