In the near future, Orlando Pirates will face the Egyptian Pyramids in the semi-finals of the Champions League. However, former "Pirates" coach Teboho Moloi has noticed an unsettling trend in this matchup.

Details: Moloi was surprised that Orlando will play the first match at home, and when that has happened in the past, the South African team has gone on to lose the subsequent final.

Quote: "I am very disappointed that CAF gave us the first match at home. It seems that North African teams always get the second match. You know what happened to us (in 2013). Now, when the stars shine on us, I hope they continue to shine as they did in 1995.

We played against Mimosas at home, then beat them away and won the competition. But when we led the team (in 2013), we played Al Ahly in Orlando and lost in Egypt. All other South African teams that lost in the finals of the Confederation Cup or Champions League always played the first match in South Africa," Moloi emphasized.

Reminder: Mamelodi Sundowns will also play the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final at home, and former team forward Sibusiso Vilakazi urges the team to forget the cup exit to Kaizer Chiefs ahead of crucial matches.
