Ex-referee believes Kaizer Chiefs should have finished the cup final with ten men

The latest Soweto derby has sparked heated debates about the standard of officiating, particularly over the incident involving Wandile Dube and Mahelene Mahawula, when the Kaizer Chiefs forward escaped with only a yellow card for a reckless foul. But former referee Victor Hlungwani believes Dube was fortunate.
Details: The former official stated that the forward should have been shown a straight red card, as the severity of the foul fully warranted it.

Quote: "That was a serious reckless challenge. If play continues, he endangers the safety of his opponent, and if the ball is in play, it's violent conduct. It's brutal behavior. The referee missed it, didn't see it. For that stamp, it should have been a straight red," Hlungwani said.
Reminder: Earlier, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi commented on rumors about his resignation, which surfaced amid the team's poor run in the league.
