Again: Orlando Pirates midfielder gets interest from Africa's top clubs!

Miguel Timm could be on his way out of Orlando Pirates, with Sekhukhune United emerging as a potential destination for the experienced midfielder. The 33-year-old’s contract with the Buccaneers expires in June 2025, and with limited playing time this season, a move appears likely.
Falling Down the Pecking Order
Once a key figure in Pirates’ midfield, Timm has seen his role diminish in the 2024/25 campaign. Under former coach Jose Riveiro, he was relegated to just three appearances across all competitions—two in the CAF Champions League and one in the MTN8. Instead, Riveiro favored the pairing of Thalente Mbatha and Makhehlene Makhaula in the center of the park.
Sekhukhune’s Interest in Timm
Sekhukhune United, known for signing former Pirates players like Linda Mntambo, Thabang Monare, and Lesedi Kapinga, are now targeting Timm as a potential addition. A source close to the negotiations revealed:
“Sekhukhune United have a strong interest in signing Miguel Timm for next season. He’s a quality player who could bring a lot of value, especially if they qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup. His experience would be a major asset.”
