Al Nasr, featuring the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, exited the AFC Champions League at the quarter-final stage against Al Ain from the UAE.

The match proved to be incredibly entertaining, despite the initial impression that the intrigue had diminished after two goals by Al Ain. The champions of the UAE scored in the 28th and 45th minutes, giving them a 3-0 lead on aggregate. However, before halftime, Al Nasr's midfielder Abdulrahman Garib pulled one back.

After the break, Al Nasr pressed relentlessly, and on the 51st minute, Khalid Eisa deflected the ball into his own net.

In the middle of the second half, Cristiano Ronaldo was expected to propel his team forward, but he managed to miss from just a few meters.

Ultimately, in the 72nd minute, Alex Telles scored Al Nasr's third goal, allowing Luis Castro's team to force the game into extra time.

However, even in the additional periods, the teams did not settle. In the 98th minute, Aiman Yahya left Al Nasr with ten men, and five minutes later, Sultan Al-Shamsi seemingly scored the winning goal for Al-Ain.

Nevertheless, even with a numerical disadvantage, representatives from Saudi Arabia earned a penalty, which Ronaldo converted in the 118th minute.

The winner had to be determined in a penalty shootout, where Al-Nasr faced a real catastrophe. Of the four attempts by Luis Castro's team, only Cristiano Ronaldo found the net, while Otavio, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles faltered. Meanwhile, Al Ain was flawless.
