Italian tennis maestro Jannik Sinner (ATP 4) made a successful start at the ATP 2023 Finals, taking place on indoor hard courts in Turin, Italy.

In the opening match of the Green Group, the Italian confidently defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece, ATP 6) in straight sets in 1 hour and 25 minutes.

This marked the eighth encounter between the two players, with Sinner securing his third victory in their head-to-head matchups.

It's worth noting that during practice sessions leading up to the start of the ATP Finals, Tsitsipas experienced some physical discomfort and, on several occasions, was unable to complete his training.

In the Green Group, Sinner and Tsitsipas are joined by Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune.
