F1 sprint qualifying in Brazil: Norris wins, Verstappen has second time

The Brazilian Grand Prix in Formula One consists of three days. Qualifying for the main race took place on Friday, with qualifying and the sprint race taking place on Saturday.

The first stage of qualifying had to end early: because of the collision of Okon and Alonso, stewards had to hang a red flag over the autodrome. However, this did not affect any of the favorites of the race. On the other hand - because of the accident, Fernando Alonso could not go on the track. Therefore, sprint qualifying was a failure for Aston Martin: Stroll showed only seventeenth result, and Alonso will start fifteenth.

The main surprise of the second stage was AlfaTauri. The team, which failed yesterday qualifying for the main race, today two cars made their way into the third segment of qualifying.

In the third segment of qualifying, McLaren showed the best and the worst time. Pole position was won by Lando Norris, he will have two Red Bull cars behind him. Behind the back of the top three will be two Mercedes cars.

It is reasonable to recall that the sprint race will be held today and will begin at 19:30 Central European Time (CET).
